...and how do you get WINE?
you allow YEAST to convert the sugars in grape juice into alcohol.
Did Jesus' blood contain SIN?
theology is such fun!!!
unleavened bread has no yeast in it.
and yeast is a symbol of sin, right?
not good for symbolising whatever it's supposed to symbolise, obviously.. so my beloved missus, who i believe is possibly the best cook in the world (although i do have a soft spot for chef nigella lawson with those magnificent knockers and all) is an absolute ace at baking sourdough bread.. and yes, sourdough bread - especially when toasted - is absolutely yummy.

1889: russian flu 360,000 perished.
Maybe next week she'll say "I never said that!"
do you think any higher ups know that much of the doctrine they teach is bunk?
thinking back to the time of raymond franz, how he pointed out specifically numerous teachings that the churches really did have right all along, and really any of the hidden mic apostacy trials you listen to on youtube, you see that even when inconvenient bible teachings are proven, the elders just try to sweep it under the rug and move on.
i think i remember franz saying how one of the gb approached him somewhat sympathetically, but there was nothing he could do.. whether you believe in the bible or not, there are some basic beliefs common among most denominations because they're just so plainly stated, such things as heavenly life for all christians, no central authority structure, minimal use of god's name, etc.
Sure!
One of them is a Zero-astrian,
One of them is a Seismentologist,
and two of them are Last-Thursday-ists!
i think it was called "a mother's thoughts.
" it was a rather dreadful poem written from the viewpoint of a mom a few weeks after armageddon, reminiscing about her child that didn't survive.
in one part, the rebellious kid says, "i can take care of myself in snow, sleet or rain.
How about this? I just whipped it up!
"Roses are red,
violets are blue,
You died at Armageddon,
No "boo-hoo" for you!
jw.org is on collision course with russia.
the may wt study edition is full of prophesy related to the time of the end and what we have read so much in isaiah and jeremia bookstudy publications.. they found their enemy again.
jw.org needs enemy's to exist.
I look forward to the WTB&TS returning to prophecies about the Giza Pyramids, Napoleon and Kaiser Wilhelm, thus showing that the Creator of the Universe is really on top of things.
First, your avatar needs to WANT to change.
(Old psychology joke.)
They'll be climbing a stairway to Heaven...yeah! THAT'S the ticket!
my wife's family rode motorcycles all their life.
her grandfather was an elder.
i was told by some dubbers that it was not christian to use a motorcycle.
When I was in my early teens I was an avid bicyclist and once took a 70-mile bike expedition by myself along Long Island's north shore just to see a state park that was being developed out there.
A couple of years later, in the late 1960s, when I was in my mid-late teens, I was really interested in having a motorcycle because it was a less-costly ticket to freedom. My mom didn't like the idea (she laid claim to any money I made from any kind of employment) and was advised by the elders that it would be "inappropriate" for a baptized JW like me to have a motorcycle.
After all, Jesus didn't have one!
Mom won, of course. I had my first car AFTER I married and moved out of her house.

since disassociating in october 2008, i've had little to no direct contact with the jws, apart from immediate family members (ie my parents).
i've lived in my rented flat since may 2014 and haven't had a knock on the door in that whole time.
until saturday morning.
Passwordprotected, were you once here under the name "Yerusalyim"?
